A Biography of the life of Marion Campbell 1909-1996
Marion was born on the 8th of November 1909 just one month and one day before a major landmark in the history of Harris Tweed, as on the 9th of December the Harris Tweed Association was established to protect the hand woven cloth. She became known as one of the most well known and respected Harris Tweed weaver and spent her life promoting the traditional methods of dyeing, spinning and weaving from her loomshed in Plockrapool.
